    Care and Use:
Before using for the first time, wash your cast iron cookware by hand, with a small amount of mild detergent. Dry promptly and thoroughly with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
Pre-heat your cookware. To ensure even heating, gradually pre-heat the pot on a hob of a similar diameter.
Since cast iron holds heat, it's not necessary to use a heat setting above medium. This helps prevent food from sticking. Don't forget to use a hot handle mitt!
Once your pan is preheated, add a very light layer of cooking oil (any cooking oils and fats can be used for seasoning cast iron, but we recommend vegetable oil, coconut, or canola oil) onto the surface of your pan. Use a paper towel to wipe the surface until no oil residue remains. Apply the oil after each use to not only protect cast iron seasoning, but enhance the finish for decades of cooking. With each use, you'll see the performance get better and better.
What does seasoning mean? Seasoning forms a natural, easy-release cooking surface and helps prevent your pan from rusting. A well-seasoned cast iron pan can last for generations.
When using on smooth hobs such as induction of glass ceramic, lift your pan to move it to avoid scratching your cooktop.
Use only silicone, nylon or wooden utensils to stir food.
